Abstract: OBJECTIVES  To find out the extent of self- concept and its components among hearing impaired students at secondary level  To find out whether there is any significant difference in the Self -concept and its components among hearing impaired students with respect to gender and type of school. METHODOLOGY Method Used : Survey method Sample : 240 hearing impaired students from secondary level Tool : Self-concept Scale Statistical techniques : Preliminary Analysis and independent sample t-test RESULTS  There is no significant difference in self -concept in total and its components body image and self-esteem except ideal self based on gender  There exists significant difference in the self-concept and its components among hearing impaired students based on type of school.
